Everyone accessing Brain Buddy has the right to feel safe, respected, heard and included in the decisions that affect them.
As a registered NDIS provider, we are committed to upholding participant rights and delivering supports in line with the NDIS Practice Standards, NDIS Code of Conduct and Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
Your support should always respect you as an individual.
When you receive support from Brain Buddy, you have the right to understand the services you're receiving and be involved in decisions about your support.
We recognise that every participant has their own goals, preferences, culture, beliefs and experiences. Our role is to listen, provide clear information and work with you so you can make informed choices about the supports that affect your life.
You Have the Right to:
You will be treated with dignity, kindness and respect. Your circumstances, culture, religion, beliefs, identity and choices will be recognised and respected.
Be involved in decisions about your supports and have choice and control over the things that affect you. We'll help you understand your options.
Your services should reflect your individual needs, goals and preferences, with quality supports appropriate to your circumstances.
Receive support in an environment free from discrimination and feel safe, welcomed and included when accessing our services.
Your personal information, dignity and confidentiality will be respected. We'll explain how your information is used and seek consent where required.
Information communicated in a way that works for you — appropriate to your age, communication needs, culture and circumstances.
Receive clear information about the fees associated with your supports, charged in accordance with applicable requirements.
Ask questions, raise concerns or make a complaint about your experience. We'll work to address concerns respectfully.

We want participants to feel informed and involved throughout their experience with Brain Buddy.
We'll take the time to explain your supports, listen to your preferences and involve you in decisions wherever possible. You can ask questions, request information and discuss changes to your supports at any stage.
Families, carers, advocates and other members of your support network can also be involved where appropriate and with the relevant consent.
If you have a concern about your services, disagree with something or feel your rights haven't been respected, you can talk to our team or make a complaint. Raising a concern will not affect your right to receive respectful, quality support from Brain Buddy.
Can I be involved in decisions about my support?

Can a family member, carer or advocate support me?
+Where appropriate and with the relevant consent, people you trust can be involved in discussions and decisions about your supports.
What if I don't understand something?
+Please ask us. We'll do our best to explain information in a way that's clear and accessible toyou.
Can I make a complaint?
+Yes. You have the right to raise a concern or make a complaint. We'll listen to your feedback and work with you to address your concerns appropriately.
